The figure at the gate must match the figure in the books

Indiqora is operations software for metalwork, steel and building-materials plants. We concentrate on the small things that go straight to money: one weighing, one change to a calculation parameter, one amended document, one figure that has to be reconciled.

The books can reconcile while the operating figures are still wrong

A complete set of documents does not guarantee it reflects what happened in the plant. A discrepancy can start with one weighing, a parameter applied for the wrong period, or a figure keyed in again in several places.

When the data is not linked together, reconciliation tends to surface the problem only after the work is done.

The three questions below are the three places worth checking first. Each is taken once: the question, then how Indiqora answers it.

Not only storing the figure, but knowing where it came from

In plant operations every figure is tied to an event, a document, a point in time, or a rule of calculation.

A weighbridge ticket has to reconcile against goods movements. A parameter needs a clear date from which it applies. An emissions figure needs a basis and a data source that can be checked. When these are kept apart, people have to assemble the data themselves and find the cause of every discrepancy by hand.

Indiqora is built around traceability and reconciliation, so that checking does not depend entirely on one person's memory or experience.

01The problem

Does the weight at the gate match the quantity received into stock?

The weighbridge ticket and the receipt note are usually two documents, raised by two people, at two different times. When the figure is keyed in a second time, the discrepancy announces itself to nobody.

By stocktake the balance is off — with no way back to which load, which day, who signed for it.

What Indiqora does

The weighed figure decides the received figure

A weighbridge ticket at the gate produces one number, and that number decides the quantity received into stock. A receipt note stating anything else is refused, with the size and the location of the gap set out. One ticket can be used once.

A discrepancy therefore has nowhere left to vanish between two documents: either it sits inside the tolerance that was set, or it stops the document and names the person who has to confirm it.

02The problem

When a parameter changes, by what rule is the figure recomputed?

Tax rates, factors, thresholds — if a parameter holds only one value, that value is today's. A document from March is recomputed at the rate that took effect in July.

When the tax office asks again about a figure already filed, the figure is on the return, but it cannot be reconstructed from the software.

What Indiqora does

Every parameter carries the date it applies from, so an old figure recomputes to the old figure

Every parameter set down by regulation carries the date it takes effect and the number of the instrument that issued it. When the regulation changes, the software adds the new value; the old value stays as it was for documents in the earlier period.

A document from last year, recomputed today, therefore still produces last year's result, and you can reconcile that figure against the instrument it relied on.

03The problem

Can an emissions figure be traced back to the activity that produced it?

The data usually exists, but it sits apart: shift logs, electricity invoices, each department's own spreadsheets. None of it links to any of the rest.

When a customer or a regulator asks, the whole period is assembled again from scratch — and next time it has to be done again, because this time left no basis behind.

What Indiqora does

Emissions are formed from activity already recorded

Production orders record the electricity, coal and gas consumed at each work stage. Emissions are computed directly from those figures, and from any figure you can trace back to the production order that gave rise to it.

When the answer is needed, the figure is already there together with its basis, instead of having to be assembled again from several sources.

04Check it yourself

Check it yourself, in the software

Rather than looking at illustrations or listening to a feature tour, open the trial and check for yourself how the software works.

  1. Open the trial in your browser; nothing to install.
  2. Look at the screens and the sample data already prepared; the sign-in screen lists the accounts.
  3. Check how data is recorded, linked and reconciled.
  4. Sign in under different roles, to see the scope of data each role may reach.

The trial runs on illustrative data, not customer data, and is reset periodically. Work in it freely, within the rights of the account you are using.

Pay for the parts you use

  • Data is kept separate. Each company has its own data scope, following the deployment configuration and the access rights agreed.Who may see what inside your plant is your decision, independent of any other company's configuration.
  • Modules to suit. A company chooses the modules that fit the way it operates; cost follows the agreed scope of use.Opening another module is a decision of its own, not an upgrade of the whole system.
  • Flexible infrastructure. Indiqora can be deployed on your own infrastructure or on infrastructure we provide, from the same build. If internal policy requires the data to stay on site, that route is not a different product.

Indicative cost

Cost follows the number of modules you open and the number of users. A plant of around 100 people on the weighbridge, warehouse and accounting modules sits at a very different level from a plant opening every module for several hundred — so we give the figure once we know the scope, rather than posting an entry price that fits nobody. Initial deployment work and infrastructure costs, if any, are quoted separately.

What we can commit to straight away is time: an indicative cost within one working day of your giving us the basic information, and a formal quotation within three working days of agreeing the scope.

Talk about deployment

You do not have to decide everything at the outset: start by establishing the problem to be solved, then discuss scope, infrastructure and cost.

What is in place, and what is still being completed

Indiqora is developed against the real needs of industrial businesses. We give priority to the work that can be checked, reconciled and used day to day.

During the introduction we set out which functions are ready, which are still being completed, and which areas need further discussion before deployment.

You check the functions that exist directly in the trial, rather than relying entirely on what we say about them.

Start from the problem in your plant

Indiqora is management software for industrial businesses, aimed at operating data that is clear and can be reconciled.

If you are struggling with weighing data, documents, calculation parameters or pulling figures together, we are glad to talk through the work and establish the scope that fits.

Once you have given us the basic information we send an indicative cost within one working day, and a formal quotation within three working days of agreeing the scope.
